• Monitor and assist with the planning and organization of the timeline throughout the entire admission process, including campus visits, interviews, when to request recommendations, when to register for testing (if applicable), and when to submit the completed application.
• Spend time building a relationship with your child and getting to know their interests, academic background, and personal qualities so we can further personalize a list of schools for them.
• Administer and interpret developmental screening.
• Review parent/guardian and student portions of the application including parent/guardian essays, student essays, and short answers.
• Discuss summer programs and possible extracurricular activities to explore.
• Continue to fine-tune the school list based on research and school visits.
• Conduct a preliminary review of the application with families, including a brainstorming session with the student about how they want to present themself in the application.
• Teach students great tips to do well in the interview process. They will participate in mock interviews to gain confidence in speaking about themselves in an interview setting.
• Review and help navigate the financial aid process.
• Assist with decision-making and discuss possible options by advising families based on school choices available.
