The Lisa Kampner Hebrew Academy is a coeducational Jewish day school that offers a unique combination of a rigorous, college-preparatory academic curriculum and an intense immersion in Jewish laws, customs and traditions. We endeavor to expose our students to a deep appreciation of their religious and ethical responsibilities, and instill in our students an attachment to the State of Israel and its people as well as a sense of responsibility for their welfare. We work to prepare all of our graduates for university by developing and enhancing their love of learning, their intellectual curiosity, and their critical thinking skills. Our small size guarantees that each student receives individual attention, and that all our students and faculty bond as a close-knit community. We are proud of the diverse heritage of our student body, and we provide our émigré students with the skills necessary to succeed in the United States. Not only do our students graduate with the ability to read, write, and speak Hebrew with some degree of fluency, but many are trilingual when they graduate (English, Hebrew, and Russian.) Rather than turn away financially disadvantaged students, the school assumes the responsibility of raising scholarship aid from the local and nationwide Jewish communities. We are guided by the Biblical injunction: “Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6)
